1. Who we are and what this covers

This policy explains how Forge Your Peak (the developer of EyeQ) and Spinor Labs (the developer of Atlethiq) — together “we”, “us” — handle personal data. It applies to:

  • the EyeQ Android app, listed on Google Play as “AtlethIQ X EyeQ Arcade” (package com.forgeyourpeak.eyeq), including EyeQ Arcade;
  • the EyeQ web app at eyeq-arcade.atlethiq.com; and
  • this website, www.atlethiq.com, including the invite form.

EyeQ is a sports vision-training and reaction game. It is training, not testing: it does not diagnose or treat any eye or medical condition, and we do not collect health or medical data.

2. Data we collect

Account and sign-in

  • Your phone number or email address, used to send you a one-time sign-in code; or, if you choose Google Sign-In, your Google account email and name.
  • Sign-in tokens, stored on your device in the Android Keystore so you stay signed in.

Profile you give us

  • Display name, sport, playing level, training goal and preferred session length.
  • Date of birth, used to work out your age band and to apply extra protections for under-18s. It is never shown to other users.
  • Optional self-ratings (focus, reaction, tracking on a 1–5 scale), time zone, reminder time, notification and visibility settings.

Training and game activity

  • Drills and sessions completed, scores, streaks, XP, coins, badges, challenges and leaderboard positions.
  • For EyeQ Arcade games: the timing and on-screen position of your taps during a round, used to score the round and check it is fair.

Device and technical data

  • Device model, operating system, app version, screen refresh rate and input type, attached to game rounds so scores are comparable.
  • Crash reports (stack traces, device and app version, your internal user ID). We do not attach screenshots or your name or contact details.
  • Product analytics: which screens you open and in-app events such as “drill completed” or “streak extended”, linked to your internal user ID only. No session recording and no advertising ID.
  • IP address and sign-in identifiers, kept briefly to rate-limit sign-in attempts and prevent abuse.

Purchases

The Android app does not sell anything. If you buy a plan on the EyeQ website, payment is handled by Razorpay; we receive the order status and amount, never your full card or bank details.

Invite form on this website

If you request an invite, we collect your email address, the sport you chose and which app(s) you want, plus the time you signed up.

Data stored only on your device

The app keeps a short-lived cache of your own data (up to 24 hours, cleared when you sign out), a queue of drills completed offline until they sync, and your theme preference.

3. Data we do not collect

The app does not use your camera, microphone, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos or files, health or fitness data, or advertising ID. It shows no ads, and we do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.

4. How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To run training programmes, track your progress and streaks, and personalise drills to your sport, level and goals.
  • To run leaderboards, challenges, badges and EyeQ Arcade, and to detect cheating.
  • To send the reminders and notifications you have switched on, and service messages about your account.
  • To email you about your invite (if you used the invite form).
  • To fix crashes, understand which features are used, and improve the app.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you sign up, which you can withdraw at any time), to provide the service you asked for, and where the law requires or permits it.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contract, for the purposes above. These are the types of parties involved:

We may also disclose data if required by law or a valid order of a court or government authority, to protect the safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy continues to apply).

6. What other players can see

If your profile is public, other users can see your display name, initials, sport, level, XP and rank on leaderboards and in EyeQ Arcade. You can switch to private at any time in Profile → Privacy, after which you appear anonymously. Profiles of users under 18 are always private and anonymous. Your date of birth, phone number and email are never shown to other users.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account, profile and activity data: for as long as your account is open, then deleted or anonymised as described below.
  • Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically up to 8 years in India).
  • Crash reports and analytics: up to 12 months.
  • Sign-in rate-limit records: a few hours.
  • Invite-form entries: until you are invited or ask us to remove you.

8. Delete your account and data

To delete your EyeQ account and its data:

  1. Email ks@atlethiq.com from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my EyeQ account”.
  2. We may ask you to confirm with a one-time code so that nobody else can delete your account.
  3. We delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email or SMS.

What is deleted: your sign-in details (phone, email, Google link), profile (name, date of birth, sport, goals, ratings, settings), device sign-in sessions and notification tokens. Your training history, scores and leaderboard entries are either deleted or permanently anonymised so they can no longer be linked to you.

What we keep: purchase and payment records, for the period tax law requires; and backups, which expire within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete only some of your data without closing your account, by emailing the same address.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the GDPR), you can:

  • access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct or update it (most profile fields can be edited in the app);
  • delete it (see section 8);
  • withdraw consent, or object to or restrict some processing;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated; and
  • complain to us (section 14) and to your data protection authority.

In the app you can also switch your profile to private, turn off reminders and notifications, and sign out on any device. To unsubscribe from invite emails, reply to any of them or email us. We respond to requests within 30 days.

10. Children and teenagers

EyeQ is not directed at children under 13, and they should not use it. Users aged 13 to 17 should use EyeQ only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who must also complete any purchase. For under-18 users we automatically keep the profile private, hide them from public leaderboards, and do not use their data for tracking or targeted advertising.

If you believe a child has given us personal data without the required consent, email ks@atlethiq.com and we will delete it.

11. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Sign-in tokens are stored in the Android Keystore; the app never holds database keys. Access to production data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

12. Where your data is stored

Our main database and app servers are in Mumbai, India. Some service providers — including our analytics, crash-reporting and email providers — may process data in the United States, the European Union or other countries. Where data leaves India or your country, we rely on the provider’s contractual safeguards and transfer it only where the law allows.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

14. Contact and grievances

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact our Grievance Officer at ks@atlethiq.com. We acknowledge requests within 72 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
